It was during this time that he became involved in youth movements and began screening films at the Maison des Jeunes in Bamako, followed by commentary for the audience.
His true desire to pursue filmmaking was sparked by a documentary film about the arrest of Patrice Lumumba. In 1963, he was awarded a scholarship to study film projection and cinema at the Institute of Higher Cinematographic Studies (VGIK) in Moscow, from which he graduated in 1969.
Upon his return to Mali in 1970, he worked as a cameraman-reporter for the Cinematographic Service of the Ministry of Information, traveling extensively throughout Mali and producing several documentaries.

My name is Natacha BOUNET, a multi-potential Afro-Caribbean woman born in Guadeloupe. I'm a 12-time French champion, including 9 times in Kung Fu Sanda, 2 times in Thai boxing and once in K1, which enabled me to create my Welness Kung-Fu method inspired by my career as a champion. With over 25 years' experience in martial arts and contact sports, I share my knowledge with those motivated to find a balance between body and mind. Sport and my career have led me to fashion, and it's only natural that I should create my own brand, AKOBEN KWÈ, a blend of the sportswear from which I came as a sportswoman and the glamour that represents me as a woman.
This new aptitude forged another, because to promote my brand, I became an event organizer, including the AKOBEN SHOW, which has become a benchmark annual event in France, enabling me to highlight ambitious women who contribute to improving everyday life through their actions. As my skills as a show host evolved with each new encounter, I decided to create a program called "Championnement Vôtre", in which I coach listeners through my life story; I give advice and interview inspiring people who are part of my exceptional encounters. It was this desire to reveal potential or help it develop that led me to create AKOBEN AGENCY, a casting and events agency.
AKOBEN AGENCY is like an incubator for talent and projects in show business, fashion and cinema. My aim has always been to reveal potential and raise awareness. And to pass on values through my various activities. I've been developing health and wellness projects since 2005 in Guadeloupe and today in France, working on self-respect. I like to spread joy and happiness around me, and it's through my coaching and my health and well-being projects that I teach women to regain their self-confidence, to learn to love themselves, and finally to take control of their lives without fear; because I too had to learn to love myself, to accept myself as I am, to get where I am today. My credo is "In each of us lies a champion".
